I came to PT with Claire hopping on one foot behind a walker, and I left about three months later, after twice-weekly sessions along with a home exercise plan, on my own two feet! Claire was professional and personable throughout my recovery. She was encouraging, yet honest about the course of my progress. She made my safety, my understanding of my injury, and the therapy steps necessary for my recovery foremost. Shewas empathetic about any pain I experienced while I worked, but she was also determined and encouraging to help me meet my goals for recovery ina timely way. I always looked forward to PT because it was so interesting to me to observe Claire watching me move, then listen to her thoughtfully assess improvements or plateaus with suggestions for new therapy. She knows so much about the human body! Claire has a good sense
of humor which made my hard work at PT enjoyable, but beneath that pleasant, fun exterior is a very intelligent, hard-working, thoughtful professional who is authentic and trustworthy. I highly recommend Claire Redmond!
I can’t say enough positive things about the therapists (especially Claire) at Greg Ott Physical Therapy. During my first visit, Claire conducted an extensive evaluation and prescribed a course of treatment for a pulled hamstring and strained rotator. She is an excellent therapist who listens to her patients and encourages them through each session. The entire staff is patient oriented and friendly. I highly recommend this practice.
As a result of a badly fractured leg I was a patient at GOCPT for seven months. I was fortunate to have had Abby Marcey as my therapist during that time. It was a joy and a privilege to have her guide me through the long recovery process. Her attentiveness, professionalism, and delightful personality made my time at GOCPT a very positive and productive experience.
I was referred to Greg Ott Physical Therapy when I tore my ACL during a skiing accident and I am so grateful to have found them! Greg and the team did a great job explaining my injury and preparing my expectations for surgery and recovery. What I appreciated the most, was the support and encouragement I felt from the staff in the first few tough days after surgery. To no surprise, I have received excellent care ever since! Shawn is incredibly knowledgeable and is always adjusting my workouts to my individual recovery speed and daily pain levels. He has been very dedicated to getting me back to my pre-injury activities, with safety as top priority. The therapists, assistants, and office staff are all extremely friendly so I always look forward to spending my afternoons with them every week! I also really appreciated their willingness to accommodate therapy around my work schedule. Thanks to Shawn and the entire team, my outcome exceeded my expectations! I am able to run and jump with no pain and feel confident getting back to skiing and ballet. I would choose Greg Ott Physical Therapy again and again for any of my physical therapy needs!
This physical therapy has been top notch. The two therapists (Will and Hayley) and technician are on top of the patients’ needs and then some. They all have excellent bedside manner and are totally focused on each patient’s needs; they listen to the patients. This center is personable and they make your workouts enjoyable.
I’m so thankful for the expertise of the GOCPT team, which is second to none in my book. It’s truly made all the difference for me. Will & Hayley have shared so much skill, knowledge, and encouragement that I feel like I won the PT Lottery. The support staff is awesome too!
I can’t say it enough… I LOVE HER PT. He takes the time to research Irish Dance and how it affects the body to help her protect herself!!! After her fall, her PT team wanted to work with her on balance, planes of motion, and making her brain process multiple physical inputs at the same time. She struggled in Aug, Sept, and Oct at class. This weekend she had a recall. She continues to get stronger mentally and physically. Her team is amazing. Thank you William C Stokes and the whole Greg Ott crew!!!
When I first was referred to Greg Ott Physical Therapy, I was almost completely immobilized after a knee dislocation that had happened a month prior. After my injury, I was in a very difficult place both physically and mentally. I was feeling pretty discouraged about the lack of progress I was seeing and, quite honestly, was not feeling hopeful for the foreseeable future. In early June, I was introduced to Hayley Byrd as my physical therapist. I remember immediately feeling relieved that I had been assigned to someone so bubbly, kind and optimistic about me getting back to traveling later that year. Through spending two days a week with Hayley for the past five months, I can wholeheartedly say that I won the physical therapist lottery. I went from barely being able to lift my leg off a table straight back to the sport that injured me in the first place. Hayley pushed me to my limits while also making sure that I was always comfortable. It is for this reason and many more that I am so grateful to not only call Hayley my physical therapist but also my friend.
The level of care that I received from Greg Ott and his partners with my post operative physical recovery was first rate! Their experience and professionalism was very apparent in both analysis and course of treatment. Should I need physical therapy in the future, Greg Ott Center for Physical Therapy will be my provider.
Over a couple of decades, I have generated frequent flyer points at Greg Ott Physical Therapy—-from rehab for ACL reconstructions to torn rotator cuff and impingements and, as I recall, a broken foot. Greg is not only quite knowledgeable but also able to morph an otherwise completely boring and protracted exercise regimen into measurable progress and, at times, even borderline fun. He has also done a masterful job of assembling a number of younger professionals who are not only conversant with one’s particular maladies, but also seamlessly adept in working together—- from Alex to Abby (whom some might call the “long and short of it”), to the multiple Melissas, Heather (who flatteringly even saw fit to name a child after me), Barry (who has endless capacity to discuss sports), Sierra, John, Danny (whether with or without hair), Shawn and others with whom I have not yet worked. They are all accomplished, helpful professionals.
Bottom line: the first choice is to avoid Greg and his gang altogether, if at all possible. But if you can’t, you’ll be in good hands at Greg Ott Physical Therapy.
It begins with the reception. Immediately you know you are in good caring hands. And then you enter the therapy area and you feel the positive energy and meet your therapist. Your confidence builds as the initial interview zeros in on what has happened, what your concerns are, and what you are hoping your physical therapy outcome will be. You quickly become aware of how professional your therapist is, how
important your answers are to creating a plan of action. You now have an advocate for your recovery. You aren’t alone in recovering from illness or injury. My direct experience is with Claire, but others have contributed to my recovery, and you have a sense that all the staff
truly cares. It is also important to note that the treatment area is spotless, sanitary, and fully equipped with the needed tools and equipment. Finally, Claire begins each therapy session with “How are you” not as a casual greeting but a true inquiry into what can and should happen in our time of treatment. It raises my hope for progress and recovery.
